The United Nations Sustainability Goals are embedded in the work of Limerick’s Tidy Towns groups. Putting community and environment first means that Tidy Towns groups deliver the Sustainability Goals as part of their overall volunteer work within a community.
The 17 Goals | Sustainable Development
To put it simply the Tidy Towns groups act locally but think globally. The National Tidy Towns Competition is organised into various population based categories. There are also additional sponsored ‘Special Awards’ that are organised in parallel with the main competition. Further information and guidance is available on www.tidytowns.ie.
