The Design and Public Realm Code for the Limerick Regeneration Areas helps ensure the best standards of urban design and place-making are consistently achieved in Limerick. It is a concise, visual guide that clearly explains Limerick City and County Council’s expectations on design parameters for the built environment and the public realm.
The Code was awarded a commendation at the Irish Planning Institute National Planning Awards in 2015. The National Planning Awards recognise successful and innovative planning strategies, schemes or developments, which make an outstanding contribution to the quality of life in urban and rural parts of Ireland.
