Limerick City and County Council (LCCC) intend to install CCTV for the sole purpose of preventing litter and illegal dumping and to enforce the Litter Pollution Act 1997 and the Waste Management Act 1996. This initiative will adhere to the Codes of Practice for the Operation of CCTV for the Purposes of Prevention, Detection and Prosecution of Litter and Waste Offences.
