Network Ireland Limerick, the forum for women in business, the professions and the arts, has elected Petrina Hayes as president for 2020. The Marketing Manager for The Savoy Collection, Limerick was presented with the chain of office by outgoing president Catriona O’Donoghue.

Caragh O’Shea, COS Events, has been confirmed as vice president of Network Ireland Limerick for the year.

Speaking about her appointment, Ms Hayes said, “For me, the presidency is an incredible opportunity to ensure that like-minded women are given the chance to shine in their careers and step out of their comfort zone.  Network Ireland Limerick did this for me. After joining the Network six years ago I gained an incredibly supportive network of women who have been there to share in both the challenges and successes of my own career journey.”

As President of the Network Ireland Limerick, Petrina will be responsible for fostering the aims and objectives of Network Ireland, representing the Limerick branch at National Executive meetings and overseeing the smooth running of monthly events locally.

Looking forward to her year as president, Ms Hayes said, “It is my mission to keep building on the amazing work that the previous presidents before me have done, I would hope to increase membership in 2020 while retaining our current members, having hit the 100 mark recently.

“Membership of our branch has increased significantly in recent years. Pivotal to our local success is the sterling work of our voluntary committee which includes; Catriona O’Donoghue (ex-Officio), Caragh O’Shea (Vice President), Karen McGuinness, Rachel Walsh, Valerie Murphy, Carmel Bracken, Edwina Gore, Emma Wilson, Lynda Sheehan and Goretti Brady.  With the demands of such a large branch, in 2020 we look forward to expanding our committee with the addition of Helen Stapleton, Lorna Horgan and Fiona Doyle,

“I look forward to working with our wonderful sponsors LEO Limerick and AIB who support the organisation at both a national and regional level and whose support has contributed greatly to our success to date,” Ms Hayes concluded.

Membership of Network Ireland Limerick is made up of a very diverse group of women from across the Mid-West, from budding entrepreneurs to SME owners and from professionals and leaders in large organisations to non profits, charities, arts and the public sector.
