Innovate Limerick helps drive innovation and act as the delivery mechanism for the projects outlined in the Limerick 2030 plan and the Limerick Regeneration implementation plans.

Limerick Twenty Thirty DAC is tasked to plan and develop key strategic sites in Limerick City and County that will act as anchors for enterprise and investment development across Limerick.

It is our vision that the Mid West Limerick City region, building on the strong governance structures that already exist, will be developed into a dynamic Tier 2 City Region, identified in the NPF as a focus for growth which can exert critical mass leverage to contribute towards national development and competitiveness.

An investment of €9.1M in the Limerick Urban Centre Revitalisation of O'Connell Street, the heart of the Limerick/Shannon gateway, will result in quantifiable improvements to urban mobility and the urban environment.

The Business & Retail Incentive Scheme provides financial incentives to encourage new businesses to open in designated areas of Limerick City, Abbeyfeale, Kilmallock, Newcastle West and Rathkeale. Occupiers of vacant properties are offered incentives for higher order retail, office and business uses.

Limerick Regeneration Framework Implementation Plan envisages one of the largest capital programmes and largest regeneration programme in the State.

The Limerick Digital Strategy and Smart Limerick initiative is a new lens on Limerick’s strategic development and especially on the ambition to transform its economy and physical space under the Limerick 2030 Economic and Spatial Plan.

The aim of this scheme is to provide a transport link between the eastern and western fringes of Limerick City and a link to South County Clare to facilitate economic development in this region.

The Living City Initiative is a scheme of property tax incentives designed to regenerate both historic buildings and other buildings in Limerick.

Living Limerick - City Engage is about developing a vision for living in the historic core of Limerick city. Through the process we will explore ways to make the city more liveable in the design of new public realm projects and initiatives.

Culture is at the heart of the economic development of Limerick. The long-term vision for Limerick provides the impetus for the cultural sector to contribute to the economic and social development of Limerick through job creation, tourism, place-making and improving quality of life and well-being.
