Bike Week is an annual celebration and promotion of all that is great about bikes and cycling. It is held over an extended week each year, with bike themed events organised by local authorities, community groups and cycling groups throughout Ireland.
From free bicycle checks, fun cycles, lunchtime city rides, heritage cycles, school cycling events, bike festivals, road races and much more, there’s something for every age and ability. National Bike Week is an initiative of the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport.
As part of National Bike Week, Limerick City and County Council organises a week of events in workplaces, campuses, schools and communities, all centred around a shared love of cycling.
