  • Allotments

    Nestled in the shadows of Thomond Park, the allotments in Ballynanty are being managed by St. Munchin's Community Centre, Kileely on behalf of the Council.
  • Audit of Community, Cultural and Arts Facilities in Limerick City and County

    In 2020, Limerick City and County Council in cooperation with the Local Development Companies in Limerick, undertook an audit of community facilities and cultural and arts facilities in the local authority area.
  • Book Clubs

    Book clubs are a great way to meet others and discuss books.
  • Intercultural Cities Programme Co-ordination

    Limerick has applied to the Council of Europe for Intercultural Cities status.
  • Limerick Going for Gold

    Limerick Going for Gold 2025 is now closed for applications
  • Local Community Development Committee (LCDC)

    The Limerick Local Economic and Community Plan (LECP) 2023 - 2028 sets out the objectives and actions which will guide the economic and community development of Limerick city and county over the next six years. 
  • Maintenance of Open Spaces in Housing Developments Grant

    This Scheme is designed to assist communities’ residents committees in the maintenance of open spaces in their estates by providing funding towards grass cutting. Applications are now closed.
  • Newcastle West Integrated Urban Strategy

    Utilising the EU-supported THRIVE programme – Town Centre First Heritage Revival Scheme, Limerick City and County Council are preparing an Integrated Urban Strategy for Newcastle West.
  • Pride of Place

    Limerick City and County Council were honoured to host the 23rd IPB Pride of Place Awards Gala Night at The Strand Hotel, Limerick.
  • Public Participation Network (PPN)

    The Public Participation Network (PPN) is the main link through which the local authority connects with the community, voluntary and environmental sectors.
  • Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP)

    The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) 2024-2028 provides funding to tackle poverty and social exclusion at a local level through local engagement and partnerships between disadvantaged individuals, community organisations and public sector agencies.
  • Town Centre First

    The Town Centre First Policy, was launched on 4 February 2022, it is a major cross-government policy that aims to tackle vacancy, combat dereliction and breathe new life into our town centres.
