Holmes announces new appointments to their expanding corporate team.

Corporate law firm Holmes has welcomed Shane Costelloe to the partnership. As a Partner, Shane heads up the firm’s employment team, specialising in employment law, corporate, commercial and public sector work. Alongside the team at Holmes, Shane regularly advises corporate and public sector clients across a range of commercial and strategic workplace issues, from recruitment to retirement.

For Shane, the new position represents further progression within the firm – where his career began in 2012 after graduating from University College Dublin.

Having trained as a corporate lawyer, Shane has extensive experience drafting commercial agreements and advising on corporate matters and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. He has a strong financial background as a result of having also worked with the international accountancy firm, Grant Thornton.

Shane’s advancement is one of a series of internal appointments within the corporate team alongside the promotion of Ciara Downes, Melissa Regan and Mikhaela O’Shaughnessy.

Over the past 53 years, Holmes has experienced tremendous growth and success, expanding into new practice areas and positioning itself as one of Ireland’s leading corporate law firms. Boasting three national offices and a London office, Holmes champions a local and global client base, with membership of the acclaimed International Lawyers Network providing Holmes’ clients with operations outside Ireland access to legal services in all corners of the world.

Partnerships with leading technology companies and investments in technology have also resulted in a digital transformation for the firm, improving client engagement, collaboration, and service delivery.

Shane’s appointment as a Partner is a reflection of the continued growth within the corporate team at Holmes, says Holmes’ Managing Partner, Harry Fehily

We are committed to investing in our people, and I am extremely pleased to see Shane developing his career within our firm. At Holmes, we strive to offer clear career paths and opportunities for people to develop their skills and grow to senior positions.”

The firm is fortunate to have the enthusiasm that Shane Costelloe and the team bring. They will ensure the continued quality of legal services to our growing corporate client base” he continued.

Holmes recently announced a partnership with training and consulting firm Ingenium to strengthen its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) offering as it supports more and more clients who are adapting business models to become ESG compliant.
