Fancy a career in the movies? Get a taster at the new Troy Studios

  • Troy Studios Identity Launch

Screen Training Ireland/The Irish Film Board and Troy Studios will host a special open day event in Limerick on Saturday 15 October 2016.

It will give attendees a full overview of working in Film, as well as an opportunity to meet professional film crew and talent.

Making films is about a lot more than actors, writers, directors and producers! Film sets need carpenters, hairdressers, make-up artists, props buyers, location assistants, accounts assistants, wardrobe assistants, production assistants, and a host of trainees in a variety of roles.

Michelle Brassil from Troy Studios said: "The open day is a great opportunity for people to meet film industry professionals. I would encourage anyone interested in pursuing a job in the industry to come to our open day. I will give you a taster of what it’s all about.”

The open day is ideally suited to school leavers, jobseekers, new entrants to the labour market, graduates, and those seeking diverse and exciting job opportunities. The open day will give you the chance to hear from some of the industry's most experienced professionals about how film production works, how the set operates and about the different aspects of production.
