Limerick Theatre Anniversaries Mayoral Fund Grant Scheme 2026

Limerick City and County Council Arts Office in cooperation with the Mayor’s Office is inviting applications from Limerick Theatre Groups.
The closing date for applications is Monday 31st August 2026 at 12 noon.

The Mayor of Limerick is providing total grant funding of €10,000 from the 2026 Mayoral Fund, to support Theatre groups celebrating notable or significant anniversaries this year. Limerick City and County Council Arts Office in cooperation with the Mayor’s Office is inviting applications from Limerick Theatre Groups.

The Purpose of the Scheme
The Limerick Theatre Anniversary Grant Scheme supports Theatre groups that are celebrating significant organisational anniversaries. The scheme recognises the important contribution made by amateur, community and professional theatre organisations to cultural life in Limerick and aims to assist groups in marking milestone anniversaries through commemorative events, artistic projects and legacy initiatives. 

The scheme seeks to:

  • Celebrate the history and achievements of theatre groups; 

  • Increase public awareness of local theatre; 

  • Encourage community participation in anniversary events; 

  • Support projects that create a lasting legacy for future generations;

Funding Available

A total fund of €10,000 is being made available by the Mayor of Limerick in 2026. 
Grants of up to a maximum of €5,000 will be made available. 
Applicants may apply for less than the maximum amount.
