These units are part of a complex of new Library and Arts Studios. 
Location: Cappamore is situated on the R505 regional road near the Slieve Felim Mountains and is approximately twenty minutes drive from Limerick city. Cappamore is designated as an age friendly town.

They are an affordable space for individuals to make work and allow artists to continue to live and work in Limerick, by encouraging working within the rural context. This scheme is in line with the Limerick Cultural Strategy Aim and Objective 1: To grow Limerick’s cultural capacity by retaining and attracting creative practitioners to live and work in Limerick. Public open calls are issued as opportunities arise.

The Library and Arts Studios, Cappamore are supported by Limerick City and County Council, Ballyhoura Development Ltd, Cappamore Development Association.

Meet Our Cappamore Studios Artists

Zuzana Jezikova
Zuzana Jezikova is a visual artist of Czech and Slovak origin, currently living in Ireland. She studied graphic and stage design at the Professional School of Arts in Prague, and she also holds an honors degree in art and design from Limerick School of Art and Design (LSAD), where she graduated in the department of Ceramics. In expressing her concept, Zuzana works with various media, leading to a wide range of work from collages and paintings to ceramic sculptures.

Eric O Neill 
Eric O Neill is an artist blacksmith and metal sculptor, working and teaching in the Cappamore area,where he was instrumental in setting up ' Irelands only college of blacksmithing' at LCFE Cappamore. His main focus at present is sculptural form and realizing metal form through the forging process.

Nuala O’Sullivan

Nuala O’Sullivan studied art at Limerick School of Art and Design where she was awarded an MA in Fine Art Painting in 2013. An archive of found, family and made photographs are source material for much of her figurative work in oils. She has exhibited extensively both in Ireland and abroad, and collections include UL, Northern Trust, Office of Public Works, Limerick & Laois County Councils and LIT.

Sheila Richardson
Sheila Richardson is a visual artist/art therapist & lecturer based in Limerick. She is a graduate of Limerick School of Art and Design, University of Wales MFA, University of Brighton and CCAD, with an MA in Art Therapy.
