Music Network, Lime Tree Theatre | Belltable and Limerick Arts Office are inviting Limerick residents aged 60 and over to join an exciting traditional music project with renowned musicians Derek Hickey (accordion), Tara Breen (fiddle) and Tommy Hayes (bodhrán).
The focus of this project is on returning to playing an instrument and sharing the joy of group music-making. Participants will receive tuition from the trio on accordion, fiddle and bodhrán from June to September 2026. Tuition is free of charge and instruments can be provided if necessary for the duration of the project.
Applicants must be aged 60 or over, resident in County Limerick, and have previous experience of playing music. You don't need to be able to read music to take part. The project will be based in two locations:
- Lime Tree Theatre, Mary Immaculate College, Courtbrack Avenue, Limerick, V94 4D85
- Belltable, 69 O'Connell St, Prior's-Land, Limerick, V94 FK0
