  • Overview of Strategic Policy Committees

    It is the task of the Strategic Policy Committees (SPCs), as committees of the Council, to advise and assist the Council in the formulation, development and review of policy.

  • SPC Climate Action, Biodiversity and Environment

    The Climate Action, Biodiversity and Environment Strategic Policy Committee is responsible for and assists the Council in the formulation, development and review of policy and strategy in the area of Climate Action and Biodiversity.

  • SPC Community, Leisure, Arts, Heritage and Culture

    The Community, Leisure, Arts, Heritage and Culture SPC is responsible for all areas of policy and strategy concerning community development and infrastructure, library services, sports and leisure, arts and age-friendly initiatives.

  • SPC Economic Development, Enterprise, Tourism and Planning

    The Economic Development, Enterprise, Tourism and Planning Strategic Policy Committee is responsible for all areas of policy concerning the Council's economic development, enterprise, planning and tourism functions.

  • SPC Home and Social Development

    The Home and Social Development Strategic Policy Committee is responsible for the formulation, monitoring and reviewing of policies related to housing and to advise the Council accordingly.

  • SPC Travel and Transportation

    The Travel and Transportation Strategic Policy Committee is responsible for all areas of policy and strategy concerning Roads/Transport Infrastructure and Travel modes.
