Gradam Bliantúil Filíochta i gCuimhne ar Mhícheál Ó hAirtnéide 2019

Bhunaigh Oifig Ealaíon Luimnigh an gradam bliantúil seo i gcomhpháirt leis an gComhairle Ealaíon chun obair litríochta Mhíchíl Uí Airtnéide i nGaeilge agus i mBéarla a aithint. Cuirfidh An Chomhairle Ealaíon agus Comhairle Chontae Cathrach Luimnigh duaischiste €4,000 ar fáil, agus is Comhairle Chontae Cathrach Luimnigh a bheidh á riaradh. Bronnfar an gradam ar an bhfile buacach bunaithe ar an dara leabhar nó leabhar ina dhiaidh sin i gcló sna 3 bliana díreach caite, 2016 – 2018.

Bronntar Gradam Mhíchíl Uí Airtnéide gach re bliain ar leabhair fhilíochta i nGaeilge agus i mBéarla. I 2019, bronnfar an Gradam ar fhile a scríobhann as Gaeilge. Is iad Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill agus Gabriel Fitzmaurice na moltóirí sa bhliain 2019.

S’é 14 Meitheamh 2019 an sprioch-dáta do iarratais.
Is iad na Comhlachtaí Foilsitheoireachta a chuirfidh na leabhair isteach sa chomórtas.

Bronnfar Gradam Mhíchíl Uí Airtnéide ar an bhfile buacach oíche oscailte Éigse Mhíchíl Uí Airtnéide ar an Déardaoin 3 Deireadh Fómhair 2019 sa Chaisleán Nua Thiar , Co. Luimnigh.

Michael Hartnett Annual Poetry Award 2019

This annual award was established by Limerick County Council and is jointly funded by Limerick City and County Council and The Arts Council to mark Michael Hartnett’s contribution to literature in English and Irish. In 2019, the award of €4,000 will be made to the winning poet on the basis of a second or subsequent book of poetry, published in the last three years, i.e. 2016 - 2018.

The Michael Hartnett Annual Poetry Award is awarded in alternate years to books of poetry in the Irish and English language. This year, 2019, the award will be made to a poet writing in Irish. This year’s adjudicators are Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill and Gabriel Fitzmaurice.

The closing date for applications is Friday, 14th June 2019. 
Applications must be submitted by publishing houses.

The Michael Hartnett Annual Poetry Award will be presented to the winning poet at the opening of Éigse Michael Hartnett on Thursday 3rd October 2019 in Newcastle West, Co. Limerick.
