Limerick City and County Council are pleased to announce an open call for the Limerick Theatre Bursaries Awards Scheme, in partnership with the Lime Tree Theatre|Belltable.
The closing date for applications is 9am, Monday 2nd November 2020.
In 2020 the Lime Tree Theatre|Belltable and Limerick Culture and Arts Office are delighted to work in partnership to bring the Limerick Theatre Bursaries, Limerick City and County Council, to theatre practitioners in Limerick in a new format. This provides an enhanced support to the sector, as a response to COVID-19. There are three Limerick Theatre Bursaries available of up to €5,000 each.
This scheme is in line with the Limerick Cultural Strategy Aim and Objective 1:
To grow Limerick’s cultural capacity by retaining and attracting creative practitioners to live and work in Limerick
- Support and develop the creativity of individual artists in Limerick through recognising the need to support the making and development of creative work as well as its presentation and exhibition.
- Encourage the highest standards of creativity and excellence in all aspects of cultural activities
Purpose of the Award
Are you a theatre practitioner living and/or working in Limerick? Are you keen to start making work again? Do you have an idea that you want to explore and develop? Or do you just need time and space to work on an idea? This scheme is for you.
Bursaries are a maximum of €5,000 each. A total budget of €15,000 is available in the grant scheme. Projects must begin before the end of 2020. Please read the Limerick Theatre Bursaries Eligibility Guidelines and Criteria carefully before applying. A copy of these are available at the link below.
