A project to improve safety and accessibility along the R512 through new pedestrian infrastructure, traffic-calming features, a redesigned roundabout, upgraded shared walking and cycling facilities, and improved public transport amenities.
Location: Kilmallock Road from Ros Mór to Childers Road
The elements of this project are:
- New footpath and drop-kerbs
- Table top ramps
- Construction for a new three-arm roundabout at the entrance to Ros Mor housing estate
- New shared path and a new shared surface on the R512
- A new bus stop and shelter at the north side of the R512 to the west of the roundabout
