Limerick City and County Council is delighted to announce the launch of the Limerick on Foot playlist; a specially curated music mix that promises to be the perfect companion to any walk, run or hike around Limerick.

Limerick is blessed with a music scene as diverse as its people, so it’s no surprise that the playlist features an eclectic array of local musical talent. Featuring a variety of genres, the Limerick on foot playlist makes for a spirited soundtrack to runs, walks and hikes for those stepping out across Limerick.

Created to champion homegrown talent and provide an immersive and engaging way to experience Limerick, it offers a fresh way for locals and visitors alike to connect with the cultural heartbeat of Limerick.

A dedicated QR code to download the playlist is available on the Limerick on Foot guide and the playlist QR code is being displayed by many of the businesses, retail outlets and cafés along the walking routes.

This year’s Limerick on Foot initiative cast a spotlight on family friendly trails in Kilmallock, Killeedy and Adare as well as featuring trails across the city and county, with something to suit all walkers, runners, groups and families alike. Whether it’s the Three Bridges in the city or one of Limerick’s rural trails, the Limerick on Foot playlist will help you enjoy the sounds of the Treaty County while you’re on the move.

Head of Marketing and Communications, Limerick City and County Council, Donn O’Sullivan commented:

“Limerick is blessed with incredible music talent and the Limerick on Foot playlist highlights that. This playlist captures that spirit and gives people another reason to get outside, explore their surroundings and enjoy the trails Limerick has on offer”

The initiative has been delivered by Limerick City and County Council with the support of the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, funded under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme (ORIS).
