Discover Limerick Brochure translated into Ukrainian

  • Limerick Leaflet Ukraine

Ukrainians living in or visiting Limerick can now access the Discover Limerick brochure in their own language.

Limerick City and County Council’s Ukrainian Response and Tourism departments have translated the original brochure into Ukrainian.

It provides information about key attractions and activities throughout Limerick City and County and is a must-have guide for sightseeing, exploring Limerick’s heritage and culture and looking for fun activities.

There are currently 2,900 Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP) staying in Limerick. Providing a Discover Limerick brochure in the Ukrainian language allows those originally from Ukraine to navigate the offerings in the city and county more easily.

Mayor of the City and County of Limerick Cllr Francis Foley said:

“By offering this brochure in the Ukrainian language we are confirming the welcome that the communities of Limerick have extended to Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection and other visitors from Ukraine. I want to thank the staff at Limerick City and County Council for adapting the original brochure for our growing Ukrainian community.”

Sonja Reidy of Ukrainian Response at Limerick City and County Council explained:

“We hope that this brochure in their native language will encourage those from Ukraine to engage with the local culture, attractions and activities and gain an appreciation of our history, culture and experiences helping to foster a deeper connection to Limerick.”
