Limerick City and County Council wishes to advise the public of changes to bring bank locations in Patrickswell and Roxboro.
The bring banks in Patrickswell have been removed following a request from the landowners, as the banks were located on private property and the site is now being developed. Alternative locations in the area were assessed, however no suitable site could be identified. Efforts to identify an alternative site will continue.
The nearest bring bank facilities are available at:

- Crescent Shopping Centre
- Mungret Civic Amenity Centre
The bring banks previously located at Roxboro Shopping Centre have been relocated to the Queen of Peace Church car park. The original location was on private property and was subject to significant illegal dumping due to its secluded location and limited visibility. The property owners requested the removal of the banks from the site. The new location at the Queen of Peace Church car park provides greater visibility and accessibility which is expected to improve monitoring of the site and help reduce incidents of dumping.
There are 58 bottle bank locations throughout Limerick city and county which are managed by the Environment Department.
Glass, aluminium cans and steel cans are the materials that can be deposited.
