Limerick Libraries are delighted to announce the launch of Limerick Reads - What's the Story, a new initiative to highlight reading as an endless source of enjoyment and comfort and to celebrate some of the amazing authors in our midst.

Limerick Libraries are encouraging all Limerick people to get involved by reading from a range of great titles from award-winning authors:

  • Kevin Barry That Old Country Music
  • Helena Close The Gone Book
  • Judi Curtin Lily Steps Up
  • Padraig Kenny The Monsters of Rookhaven
  • Roisin Meaney The Restaurant
  • Donal Ryan Strange Flowers

Noreen O’Neill, Senior Executive Librarian said "Stories connect us and we would love these stories to spark conversations and connections across Limerick. Our aim is to see these books shared, gifted and re-gifted widely across all our communities.

“This is a great opportunity to enjoy fantastic stories by Limerick writers. There is a Limerick Reads story here for absolutely everyone. We at Limerick Libraries want to share that enjoyment as widely as possible.”
