The Haunting Ballad of Josephine Lockhart, a macabre tale of the corpse that refuses to go quietly into the grave. Through dark comedy, it explores the space between this life and the next, combining witty dialogue with live music, dance and song. There has been an unexpected death in the town. Miss Josephine Lockhart is said to have quite literally dropped dead while crossing the junction between Melancholy Street and Eerie Place.

Following her death, Miss Lockhart was collected by the local undertakers, Morbid & Sons. Owing to the unexpected nature of her death, they are believed to be taking her to the Boneyard for a post-mortem.

Curious State in collaboration with Lumen Street Theatre for Samhain: Limerick’s Halloween Festival presents a spectacular multidisciplinary live show, in 2026, both companies are celebrating their 10th birthdays and are excited to mark this milestone with a thrilling new piece of live performance.
