Limerick City and County Council wishes to advise motorists, residents, businesses and road users that a temporary road closure will be in place on Kilmallock Road (R512) to facilitate Irish Rail Bridge Gang Works at Irish Rail Bridge UBL3, R512 Kilmallock Road, Co. Limerick.The closure will affect: Kilmallock Road (R512) from Friday, 16th October 2026 at 10am to Monday, 19th October 2026 at 5am. A 24-hour closure will be in operation for the duration of the works.
Alternative Routes:
- Traffic travelling northbound on the R512 will be diverted by turning right onto the L1170 Drombanny Road.
- Local traffic may use the L5109 Drombanny Road.
- HGV traffic will be diverted via the R509, R527, N24, R513 and R514, rejoining the R512.
Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
