Road Traffic Notice: National Services Day Parade 2026

Limerick City and County Council advises motorists and road users that rolling road closures will be in operation on Saturday, 5th September 2026, between 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m., to facilitate the National Services Day Parade 2026.

The parade will assemble at Pery Square and Barrington Street before proceeding along the following route:

  • The Crescent
  • O’Connell Street
  • Lower Mallow Street
  • Henry Street
  • Liddy Street
  • Honan’s Quay
  • Arthur’s Quay
  • Francis Street
  • Rutland Street
  • Bridge Street
  • Athlunkard Street / Island Road (finish point)

Available diversions on Dock Road and Roxboro Road, both for inbound and outbound routes.

Motorists are advised to expect temporary delays along the parade route during the event.

Traffic will be managed by An Garda Siochána.

Limerick City and County Council regrets any inconvenience caused and thanks road users for their cooperation.
