Climate Action Week Limerick Returns for 2026 with Four Days of Community‑Led Events

  • Flowers and People

Limerick City and County Council is bringing communities together once again to celebrate Climate Action Week Limerick, with events taking place from Wednesday 13 to Saturday 16 May 2026. Following a highly successful first year, the initiative returns with renewed energy, bringing communities, organisations and local changemakers together for four days of inspiration, learning and practical climate action.

Delivered under the theme #GreenForLimerick, Climate Action Week Limerick 2026 features a vibrant programme of free events designed to spark conversation, raise awareness and encourage positive steps towards a more sustainable future.

Climate Action Week Limerick is coordinated by Limerick City and County Council in collaboration with local communities, organisations and partners.

Dr Sarah O’Malley, Climate Action Officer with Limerick City and County Council, said:

“Climate Action Week Limerick shows that real change is already happening across our city and county. From talks and workshops to hands‑on activities and community gatherings, there is something for everyone. However you take part, you are helping to power a more sustainable and more connected Limerick.”

All events are open to the public, and free to attend, with some sessions requiring advance booking due to limited capacity.
