Halloween in Limerick 2025 is capturing imaginations across the city and county, with workshops, storytelling, and community events in full swing in a programme bursting with folklore, fire, creativity, and community spirit.
As the season’s biggest nights approach, excitement is building for the arrival of two must-see highlights - the arrival of Con Mór, the Giant, at King John’s Castle and the Samhain Fire & Shadows Procession.
The legendary Con Mór, a towering Macnas creation standing over 23 feet tall, will come to life within the walls of King John’s Castle from this Saturday 18th with further shows on 19th and 26th October and 1st, 2nd November. Families, folklore lovers, and thrill-seekers alike are invited to witness Con Mór as he brings Limerick’s medieval heart to life in unforgettable fashion. Lumen Street Theatre present: 'Samhain: Limerick's Hallowe'en Festival, Fire and Shadows Procession – “Some bones won’t stay buried”
The time is nearly upon us! On October 25th, the streets of Limerick will be transformed as Lumen Street Theatre showcase their amazing talents with a parade of illuminated supernatural beings, led by the bones of Patrick Sarsfield astride his skeletal steed. A highlight of Samhain: Limerick’s Hallowe’en Festival, this sinister spectacle is sure to capture the imagination of audiences both young and old.
The parade will culminate in a spectacular fire presentation at Merchant’s Quay, featuring fire artists and dramatic visuals that promise to leave you breathless.
