Limerick City and County Council is delighted to confirm that Ava Crean, the newly crowned Irish Women’s National Marathon Champion, will officially start and take part in the Halloween fancy dress Limerick Night Run, the centrepiece of a thrilling evening of events for Twilight Thursdays – October.
The 19-year-old Raheen native, a member of the Back 2 Boston Running Club, made headlines last weekend as the first Irish female finisher at the 2025 Irish Life Dublin Marathon, clocking a personal best of 2:34:12. Now, she’s set to lead hundreds of costumed runners through the city streets in a 5km spectacle that blends fitness, fun, and fright.
Starting at 8pm from King John’s Castle Plaza, this promises to be a frightfully fun event for runners and spectators alike. [Entry €35 (limited availability)].
