Culture Night 2020 will take place this year on Friday 18 September, so now is the time to start planning events and activities for the Limerick region! The Tourism, Culture & Arts Office of Limerick City and County Council is inviting event organisers to take part in this year’s event by registering events through a public call.
Culture Night is always great fun and offers the perfect opportunity for us, as a region, to showcase the wealth of culture that Limerick has to offer. It is a night to celebrate the cultural, artistic and creative communities of our city and county by inviting existing and new audiences to experience our galleries, museums, workshops and studios.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, it is necessary this year that some changes are made to the 2020 programme. Event organisers are encouraged to programme digital events along with some small pre-booked live events.
In planning digital or online events, groups are asked to consider this an opportunity to reach much larger audiences than would be able to attend a live event at present and also to reach new audiences who may not normally be able to attend.
All live events that wish to register must implement pre-booking and ticketing to manage audience numbers in line with national Covid-19 regulations and guidelines, abiding by event size regulations and implementing strict safety measures.
Never has it been more important for an event like Culture Night to take place as it presents the opportunity for our creative community to work in partnership to nurture the cultural life of our region and support our audiences as they adjust to a new social and cultural environment within their communities.

Clubs, organisations and groups in Limerick wishing to organise a Culture Night event this year, will be supported with advice, promotion and merchandising by Limerick Tourism, Culture & Arts Office.
