The largest one-day clean-up in Ireland, Team Limerick Clean-Up (TLC) takes place on Good Friday across Limerick.
Team Limerick Clean-Up (TLC) is a massive county-wide initiative which encourages people to get involved in a volunteer one-day clean-up every Good Friday, welcoming volunteers, organisations, businesses and schools from across Limerick to get involved and do their bit to keep Limerick clean and tidy.
Team Limerick Clean-Up (TLC) was founded in 2015 by JP McManus, Helen O’Donnell, and Paul O’Connell, with an aim to foster and build relationships with the community, looking to instil a sense of pride in the people of Limerick and protect the environment.
Overall participation figures are over the 100,000-mark and include volunteers from all walks of life from schools, colleges, GAA clubs to Munster Rugby, community, residential groups, businesses, charities, nursing homes and well-known faces locally.
Team Limerick Clean-Up 2025 saw over 23,500 volunteers taking part, which was spread over 547 groups all over Limerick City and Limerick County including 89 schools. Last year saw over 50 tonnes of litter collected, which is equivalent to approx. 2,000 household wheelie bins of rubbish.
Participants of TLC are always encouraged to stringently observe health & safety guidelines, in line with Government and HSE directives.
Team Limerick Clean-Up is an initiative in its 11th year with a partnership approach made up of Limerick City and County Council, the JP McManus Benevolent Fund and Mr.Binman.
Endorsed by Paul O’Connell, the official partners include Mr Binman, Limerick Leader, Limerick Post, Live 95, I Love Limerick and ELive.
