As part of the GoGreenRoutes project, Limerick City and County Council created a design for the greenway that incorporated nature based solutions; use of felled trees, rain gardens and recommendations from the nature walk that took place March 2022.
Construction of the natural play area began mid-May 2022. It was officially opened for the Nature workshop on 9th July 2022.
