Temporary Closure of Roads: Commemoration Dromcollogher 2026

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of the Roads Act 1993 of the intention of Limerick City and County Council to close the road as detailed hereunder at the specified locations and times to facilitate Commemoration Dromcollogher 2026.

R515, Dromcollogher – from The Square (Corner House) to the junction of the R515 and L7028 (Ross Line).

 

 

Diversions via

Traffic travelling from Broadford to Dromcollogher: Vehicles travelling eastbound on the R515 should divert in Broadford Village at the junction of the R515 and L1311 (Nunans Corner). Turn right onto the L1310 (Rathpalatine Line) and continue to the junction of the R522 and L1310, then turn right towards Dromcollogher.

Traffic travelling from Dromcollogher to Broadford: Vehicles travelling westbound on the R515 or R522 should remain on the R522 through Dromcollogher to the junction of the R522 and L7028 (Ross Line). Turn left onto the L7028 and continue to the junction with the R515, then turn right for Broadford.

Traffic will be diverted back to the L7016 (Tullylease Road)

From Saturday, 5th of September 2026
Between 8.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.
Church Street / Buckley's Terrace, Dromcollogher – from the junction of the R515 at Church Street and the L7015 (Buckley's Terrace) to the junction of the L7015 and L7016 (Tullylease Road).Traffic will be diverted via the L7016 (Tullylease Road) and local diversion routes as signposted.From Saturday, 5th of September 2026

  • Local Traffic will be accommodated 

Any person may lodge an objection to the proposal to close these roads by email to roads@limerick.ie or in writing to the Administration Team, Central Services, Roads, Limerick City and County Council, Dooradoyle, Limerick not later than 4:00pm, Tuesday 4th August 2026.
