Limerick City and County Council welcomes a significant boost for rural areas following the latest round of Measure 1 Approvals under CLÁR 2025. Communities are receiving  a significant boost following the announcement of €546,132 in CLÁR funding for nine local projects.

This investment will support community centres, sports facilities, playground enhancements, walking tracks and essential local infrastructure, strengthening rural communities and improving quality of life across the county.

The CLÁR Programme, delivered by the Department of Rural and Community Development, supports small-scale infrastructural projects in rural areas that have experienced population decline, ensuring that communities remain vibrant, active, and well-resourced.

Limerick City and County Council was delighted to assist the communities with their funding applications.
