Culture Night 2025 – One Night for All with Over 70 Events in Limerick

Limerick City and County is gearing up to welcome thousands of culture seekers to over 70 free events on Friday, 19th September, celebrating Culture Night 2025

From poetry to painting and music to murals, the programme showcases the diversity and creativity of Limerick’s cultural scene living up to the theme of the twentieth edition of Culture Night, One Night for All. 

Discover Culture Night 2025 in Limerick! 

Limerick City is once again excelling in hosting a wide range of cultural experiences. A celebration of Live Electronic Irish Music with Sionna takes centre stage at King John’s Castle.

Take a magical journey with the Madcap Chronicles of Wonderland at Limerick’s Hunt Museum, with other exhibitions, workshops and performances taking place at Ormston House, Limerick Printmakers, and Spacecraft Studios

On-street entertainment includes the Boherbuoy Band on Thomas Street, and Henry Street Garda Station will open its doors to visitors curious about life behind the scenes – including a peek inside the cells! The Milk Market will open from 5–8pm with a petting farm, live music, and local craft and food stalls. 

Other late night events include a Top 8 Performance Platform at Dance Limerick Church and Downbeat Records at The Wickham Way present an evening of Jamaican music. 

County Culture 

Limerick’s county towns will be bustling with activity including a screening of Birdsong by Seán Roynane at the Desmond Complex, and music technology workshops for teens at Foróige, Newcastle West

In Abbeyfeale, live music will fill the air at Siopa Milséan thanks to Music Generation, the Ballyneety Men’s Club session at the Session House returns once again and there is Ceol agus Craic in Glenbrohane Community Hall. 

Granagh will host the Threads Between Exhibition, while Castleconnell presents a climate-conscious programme featuring an interactive mural launch, clothing swap, and local craft exhibition.

Director General of Limerick City and County Council, Dr. Pat Daly, said: 
“Culture Night reflects the vibrancy and inclusivity of Limerick’s cultural landscape. It’s a night that brings people together, sparks curiosity, and showcases the talent that thrives in every corner of our city and county. We’re proud to support this initiative and look forward to seeing communities engage with the arts in meaningful ways.” 

Limerick Arts Officer, Etain McCooey, added: 
“Culture Night is a great occasion to celebrate the cultural, artistic and creative communities of our region. We invite audiences, existing and new, to come out into our galleries, museums, workshops, libraries and studios to engage in the range of diverse activities and events. All events are free and open to all to try out new arts and cultural experiences.”
