A Mayoral Reception was held for Alliance Française Limerick and Loïc Guyon, Honorary Consul of France on Thursday, 25th April, 2024 at 6:30pm in the Council Chamber, Merchant’s Quay.
Alliance Française Limerick were honoured in celebration of their 80th anniversary and in recognition of their promotion of the French language and culture in Limerick since 1944.
Loïc Guyon, Honorary Consul of France was celebrated in appreciation and recognition of his contribution, as founder of the Limerick Wild Geese Festival launched in 2019 and as Initiator/Director of the Sarsfield Homecoming Project launched in 2020. Both the festival and project have been facilitated by Alliance Française Limerick since 2023.
