Public Consultation Day on revised flood maps and options for managing flood risk in Castleconnell, Montpelier and Springfield

Thursday 23rd March @ 2pm

A Public Consultation Day will be held in the Castle Oaks House Hotel, in Castleconnell from 2pm to 7.30pm on Thursday, 23rd March 2017 in relation to revised flood maps and options to manage flood risk in Castleconnell, Montpelier and Springfield.

Following the flood events of winter 2015/16 and the feedback provided through consultation events held in 2016, the The Office of Public Works (OPW) decided to review and update the flood maps and options for managing flood risk in communities along the lower Shannon.

A public consultation is now being held on the outcomes of this review, including revised flood maps and flood risk management options for Castleconnell, Montpelier and Springfield. Members of the Shannon CFRAM Study project team will be available to discuss and explain the maps and options to all attending on the day.

Your comments on the flood maps and options would be most welcome. These will be on display on the day.
