Gaelscoil Ó Doghair is a mixed, Irish language primary school. The school is under the patronage of the Bishop and reflects Catholic values. Our primary objective in Gaelscoil Ó Doghair is to provide education through the medium of the Irish language to all pupils.
It is our aim to nurture and perfect the strengths in every child and to encourage our pupils to find the goodness in everyone around them. We do our best to promote the principals of Christianity.
In addition, it is our aim to provide an education through the medium of the Irish language for every pupil and to ensure that every child enjoys their time in our school. We hope that our pupils will leave with many happy memories of their school lives. We recognise the valuable role that language and Irish culture plays in the development of our pupils for the future.
Irish is the teaching language in our school and the language of communication between children and teachers, inside and outside the classroom.
