Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Section 38 (3) of the Road Traffic Act 1994, as amended by the Public Transportation Regulation Act, 2009 (Section 46), Limerick City and County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to introduce the following road amendments adjacent to Main Street (R-523) and Bank Place (L-1253), Rathkeale, County Limerick.
Introduction of 2 number belisha beacon pedestrian crossings - Main Street
Introduction of 2 number signage pedestrian crossings – Bank Place
Introduction of permanent traffic island at Bank Place Junction
Narrowing of carriageway and build out area
All associated road markings
Drawings and particulars of the proposed project are available for inspection at
- Limerick City and County Council, Adare/ Rathkeale Municipal District Office, Áras Seán Finn, New Line Road, Rathkeale, Co. Limerick (V94 HK1V),
and may be inspected during office hours from Friday 11th September 2026 to Friday 9th October 2026 inclusive. They are also available for inspection online during the above timeframe at https://mypoint.limerick.ie
Submissions or observations regarding the proposal may be made in writing to the above office or online at https://mypoint.limerick.ie on or before 5pm, on Friday 9th October 2026.
