Join us for a special Culture Night 2026 event celebrating contemporary performance art in Limerick City.
This evening programme brings together artists: Volodymyr Topiy and Mariya Hoyin. Each artist will present an individual performance of up to 30 minutes, creating a sequence of diverse live artworks that explore themes of identity, memory, place, and contemporary life.
Short breaks of 5-10 minutes between performances will allow audiences time to reflect and engage with the event.
Performance art is a unique form of contemporary art that uses the artist's actions, presence, and interaction with audiences to create experiences in real time. Whether you are familiar with performance art or encountering it for the first time, this event offers an accessible opportunity to experience live artistic practices up close.
The project aims to increase the visibility of performance art in Limerick, support local and Ireland-based artists, and create meaningful cultural exchange through live artistic encounters.
