The GAFF Open Day

The GAFF is delighted to host the first open day in its new home on Lord Edward Street, inviting the public to see the space, meet artists and experience some of the creative work taking place within the building. 

Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the performance room and new upstairs workspaces, while learning more about the workshops and community projects happening at The GAFF. 

The open day will also feature a showcase of artists currently leading projects at The GAFF, with interactive workshops where attendees can try some of the creative practices developed by Limerick artists. 

Activities will include a music production demonstration/ workshop with Frank McCarthy and Eoin Burke Maguire (40 Hurtzz), an art workshop with Shannon Slattery and a visual arts project about the natural building material cob with Harry Bradshaw.

This will be an opportunity for people of all ages to connect with local artists and take part in a hands-on, creative participation and celebrate the opening of a new culture and community space in the city. 

  • 4pm - 6pm: Music Production Open Workshop
  • 5pm - 7pm: Cob Workshop. 
  • 6pm - 7pm: Art class guided tours of the space will take place hourly, on the hour.
