At The Wishing Station. Angela Vaughan presents her artwork Altar to the Aos (Fairy Altar) and audiences are invited to engage with the work by performing a ribbon tying ritual.
As participants tie their ribbon onto the contemporary fairy statue, they are encouraged to silently say a prayer, ask for a blessing or make a wish.
As the night progresses, and with this collective participation, the fairy will be transformed by your wishes and the ribbon adornments.
The fairy altar becomes a symbol for our community working together and Culture Night celebrations.
A guest book is also available if you wish to add any comments or reflections.
This event is user friendly and suitable for all with the artist on site for the duration.
