New print and digital publications set to showcase Limerick's world-class golf offering ahead of Ryder Cup 2027

Limerick City and County Council has unveiled two new promotional publications designed to further position Limerick as one of Ireland's leading golf destinations. The new Golf Limerick: Welcome to Limerick brochure and the comprehensive Golf Limerick Media Guide are now available online, with printed editions being distributed across the city and county.

The rollout marks the latest phase of the Golf Limerick initiative, a key legacy project of Ryder Cup 2027, aimed at raising awareness of Limerick's exceptional golf courses, tourism experiences, hospitality offering and visitor attractions.

Since its launch, the Golf Limerick campaign has generated significant interest and engagement, with the initiative's promotional video attracting more than 1.7 million views across digital platforms. The campaign has also included activity across digital out-of-home advertising, national radio, online channels and social media platforms.

One of two new pieces of branding is a Golf Limerick: Welcome to Limerick brochure, which will be distributed to businesses, tourism operators, visitor attractions, hotels and key stakeholders throughout Limerick. The publication is designed to encourage local advocacy while providing visitors with an easy-to-use guide to exploring everything Limerick has to offer.

To compliment this, a new Golf Limerick Media Guide has been developed as a valuable resource for journalists, golf and travel writers, broadcasters and industry stakeholders. It includes detailed information on Limerick's golf offering alongside unique stories, local insights and points of interest from across the county.

Mayor of Limerick, John Moran, said:

"Golf Limerick is about much more than golf. It's about showcasing our city and county to the world and ensuring that Ryder Cup 2027 leaves a lasting legacy for communities, businesses and tourism across Limerick."

Príomh Chomhairleoir Tom Ruddle said:

"Golf is one of Limerick's great strengths and these brochures give people another reason to discover the courses, attractions and warm welcome that can be found right across the county."

Director General of Limerick City and County Council, Dr Pat Daly, said:

"These publications provide a strong platform to tell Limerick's story. They highlight the quality of our golf offering while promoting the wider visitor experience that makes Limerick such a compelling destination."

Donn O'Sullivan, Head of Marketing and Communications, Limerick City and County Council, said:

"The response to Golf Limerick has exceeded expectations. These new publications build on that momentum and give visitors, media and stakeholders a practical gateway to everything that makes Limerick a world-class golf destination."
