The Limerick History Festival returns from Wednesday 30th September to Wednesday 7th October, bringing a fascinating programme of talks, stories, discussions and fresh perspectives on the past.

Discover the people, places and events that have shaped our history, with contributions from renowned historians, acclaimed writers and passionate storytellers. 

Whether you’re a lifelong history enthusiast or simply curious to learn more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Wednesday 30th September

  • 11am - Free tour of People's Museum
  • 12pm - Free walking tour of city, Arthur's Quay Park
  • 3pm - Free Georgian Quarter walking tour, People's Museum

Thursday 1st October 

  • 3pm - Free tour of Limerick Museum by Dr. Matthew Potter
  • 7pm - Lecture by Brian Hodkinson, People's Museum

Friday 2nd October

  • 11am - Free tour of Randel Hodkinson's Workshop, 54 Henry Street
  • 6pm - 1926 Census Exhibition Launch, City Hall, Merchant's Quay
  • 7.30pm - Lecture by Charlie Spring Rice, People's Museum
