Limerick is preparing to welcome home its All-Ireland Senior Hurling Champions following a memorable victory over Galway in Sunday's final at Croke Park. Thousands of supporters are expected to gather in Pery Square on Monday evening as the victorious players and management return with the Liam MacCarthy Cup for a special Homecoming celebration in the heart of the city.

The event is being hosted by Limerick GAA and Limerick City and County Council, providing supporters of all ages with the opportunity to celebrate another historic achievement for Limerick hurling.
The event, MC’d by Limerick’s own Catriona Tierney, will see entertainment provided by DJ Mark McCabe, singer Gearoid McCarthy, plus special guests.
The Homecoming follows a hugely successful weekend of celebrations in the city, with thousands of supporters attending the Big Screen event at Pery Square on Sunday to cheer on the team and enjoy a family-friendly festival atmosphere.
It will be a double victory celebration with the Limerick All Ireland Minor Hurling Champions also marking their first national win in 42 years.

Show Your Pride in Limerick
Organisers are asking supporters attending the Homecoming celebration to continue showing the pride and respect that has been a hallmark of Limerick supporters throughout the championship.
Attendees are encouraged to dispose of litter responsibly, respect local residents and businesses, follow the directions of event stewards and Gardaí, and help ensure everyone can enjoy the occasion safely.
The Limerick players and management have long supported Team Limerick Clean-Up and are encouraging supporters to leave the city centre as they found it.
Additional bins and event facilities will be provided throughout the site.
