Photo Gallery: Cappamore–Kilmallock Municipal District Reception

A Cappamore-Kilmallock Municipal District reception was held on 27 May at the Deebert House Hotel, Kilmallock, celebrating a diverse group of local achievers.

The event honoured excellence across sport, education, community service and the arts, recognising individuals and groups, including:

- Coláiste Ióseaf, Kilmallock- In recognition of the schools achievement in winning the AIB Future Sparks Schools Junior Small Group Environmental Prize 2025.

- Sophie Cronin, Kilfinane- In recognition of her achievements in winning County, Munster and National boxing titles.

- Tara Grogan, Galbally- In recognition of her achievement in winning a Bravery Award from the National Ambulance Service.

- Paudie Moloney, Kilmallock- In recognition of his achievements in the Traitors TV Series and also Dancing With The Stars.

- William O'Connor, Cappamore- In recognition of his achievement in competing internationally as a professional darts player.

- Tiarnán O'Donnell, Boher- In recognition of his achievements in competing internationally in Wheelchair Basketball and Paralympic Rowing.

- Frank O'Dwyer, Ballylanders- In recognition of his achievement in floorball with the Tipperary Special Olympics Group.

- Colin Ryan, Pallasgreen- In recognition of his achievement in winning the All-Ireland Poc Fada Championship.

7 people and one group from the Cappamore-Kilmallock Municipal Disrict were presented commemorative scrolls in recognition of their achievements

Frank O’Dwyer, from Ballylanders was recognised for his achievements in floorball with the Tipperary Special Olympics Group

Some of Frank's recent achievements include participation in March 2024 at the Special Olympics Ireland Games in Armagh where he scored the winning goal. In March 2025 he participated on the Irish Team in the Special Olympic Winter Games in Turin

Frank has won 10 medals in total representing Team Munster and Team Ireland over a 12 year period in multiple sports and he has shown outstanding commitment to operate at such a high level during this time

William O’Connor from Cappamore was recognised for his achievement in competing internationally as a professional darts player

William has been a professional darts player since 2011 and competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He has participated in nine PDC World Championships

Paudie Moloney from Kilmallock who was recognised for his achievements in the Traitors TV Series and also Dancing With The Stars over the past 12 months

Tara Grogan, Galbally was presented with a scroll in recognition of her achievement in winning a Bravery Award from the National Ambulance Service

The National Ambulance Service presented Tara with a Bravery Award as they were very impressed by her calm response and ability for quick thinking during a crisis

Sophie Cronin from Kilfinane was presented with a Municipal District Award in recognition of her achievements in winning County, Munster and National boxing titles

She is hugely dedicated to her sport and she trains and boxes out of St Francis Boxing Club in Limerick City. Last month she was crowned Irish champion in the National Boxing Stadium when she collected her third national title

Colin Ryan from Pallasgreen (who was represented by his father Denis) was recognised for his achievement in winning the All-Ireland Poc Fada Championship for a second time, when he won the title last August
