Temporary Closure of Roads: Mayorstone Residents Association A Tesco Street Feast community led Event

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of the Roads Act 1993 of the intention of Limerick City and County Council to close the sections of roads detailed hereunder to Vehicular Traffic and Parking at the specified location and time to facilitate: The Mayorstone Residents Association A Tesco Street Feast community led Event on Sunday the 14th of June 2026.

Roads to be ClosedTime Periods of Road Closure(s)Time Period of Parking Prohibition

The Open Green Space off Mayorstone Drive (L-10032-0,2&3) & Mayorstone Avenue (L-10033-0).

Mayorstone Drive (L-10032-0,2&3) from its junction with Shelbourne Road (R464-6 &7) to its junction with

Mayorstone Avenue (L-10033-0) & Mayorstone Gardens (L-100038-0).

Mayorstone Avenue (L-10033-0) from its junction with Mayorstone Drive (L-10032-0,2&3) to its junction with The Cratloe Road (R445-29).

Mayorstone Crescent (L-10037-0) will be effectively closed also 

Diversions via Cratloe Road (R445) to Mayorstone Upper (L-10028-0) 

Coolraine Estate (L-10031-0) to Mayorstone Gardens (L-10038-0) to Shelbourne Park (L-10039-0) or vice versa.

13:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs

Current Parking Prohibitions will remain in place outside of operating times of Road Closures

 

  • Pedestrian access to footpaths will be maintained at all times.
  • Local diversions will operate via Shelbourne Road & Cratloe Road
  • Local Access will be available to Residents living in this area where appropriate
  • Emergency Service Vehicle access will be available at all times.

Any person may lodge an objection to the proposal to close these roads by email to roads@limerick.ie or in writing to the Administration Team, Central Services, Roads, Limerick City and County Council, Dooradoyle, Limerick not later than 4:00pm, Tuesday 19th May 2026
