Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of the Roads Act 1993 of the Intention of Limerick City and County Council to close the sections of roads detailed hereunder at the specified locations and times to facilitate the Limerick City Riverfest Festival from Friday 1st May 2026 to Monday, 4th May 2026.

- Diversion in place via Lower Cecil Street, Henry Street & Shannon Street. (One lane open to traffic to facilitate safe traffic flow to & from Car Parks)
- The Great Limerick Run will be facilitated by way of planned Road Closures to facilitate this Road Race Event on Sunday the 3rd of May 2026
- Street Party: Subject to Grant of Occasional Licence and Suitable provision of Documentation: Traffic Plan, Event Management Plan & River plan. From Bishop’s Quay to Honan’s Quay, at the underpass, from Friday, May 1st to Sunday, May 3rd, 2026, between 17:00 and 23:00 hours.
Any person may lodge an objection in writing to the proposal to close these roads with the Director of Transportation & Mobility, Limerick City and County Council, Dooradoyle, Limerick not later than 4:00pm on Tuesday 7th April 2026.
