Limerick City and County Council Civil Defence Headquarters hosted the Annual Certificate Presentation & Long Service Medals Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, 18th November 2025.
This special event honoured Civil Defence volunteers for their dedication and service to the community, including the presentation of Long Service Medals to those who have served for 10 and 20 years. 30 Volunteers attended receiving certificates for over 10 courses held in 2024/2025. Two 10 years Long Service Medals were also given out to Pawel Golba and John Long, not also forgetting Oriena Linehan who received her 30-year Long Service Medal.
