  • Crowds enjoying the Dancing the Walls of Limerick

Limerick is embracing it’s rich natural, built, and cultural heritage as it celebrates National Heritage Week 2025 from Saturday, August 16th to Sunday, August 24th.

This year’s theme, “Exploring Our Foundations,” invites communities to reflect on the landscapes, traditions, and stories that shape our identity.

Limerick City and County will host a vibrant array of free events, from hands-on workshops and nature walks to historical tours, artistic showcases and a street party where you can learn to ‘Dance the Walls of Limerick’. Whether you're a history buff, nature lover, or curious explorer, there's something for everyone.
