Join us for a relaxed and enjoyable evening learning the traditional craft of spinning flax on a drop spindle.
Discover how flax is transformed into linen yarn, try your hand at spinning and enjoy plenty of conversation along the way. Facilitated by Elizabeth O’Connor who is a member of the Irish Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers. This hands-on workshop is suitable for beginners as well as those with some spinning experience. All materials and guidance will be provided giving you the opportunity to explore this beautiful heritage skill in a friendly and welcoming setting.
