Glin Things to Do

Situated on the banks of the River Shannon, along the N69 driving route, Glin offers a wide variety of spectacular coastal and woodland scenery walking trails.

The Knights Walk and Knockaranna Walking Trail are fabulous walks where you can observe a variety of native woodland flora and fauna, take in the majestic species of beech, oak, ash and holly trees, as well as the sweeping views over the Shannon Estuary.

Glin Beach is situated 1.6km east of Glin, just off the N69 Glin to Limerick road. With ample parking in the lay-by access is good for fishing from the shore.

Nearby Boyce Gardens and Knockpatrick Gardens are a haven for enthusiasts. Designed for year round colour, Boyce Gardens is divided into a number of intimate garden rooms inter-linked by curved paths.

Knockpatrick Gardens is divided into different levels with pools and water features among the plants. 

Glin Community Playground is situated in an amazing scenic location beside the River Shannon. The playground is surrounded by a small maintained town park with seating and tables.
