Family Friendly Bruff

There is so much on offer for families visiting Bruff town and the surrounding area.

Family Friendly Bruff (pexels)

Bruff's community playground is located at Brugh Na Deise Estate and has a large range of state of the art play facilities for children of all ages.

If you’re looking to do something a little different, why not try a pottery workshop with Lough Gur Pottery or art classes with Robert Ryan.

Home to Ireland's largest and oldest stone circle, Lough Gur has breath taking scenery along with a tree and fairy trail for younger visitors. Lough Gur Solstice Park Playground is located beside the heritage centre, providing much needed facilities while you enjoy your stay in the great outdoors.

Just a short drive from Bruff, Terra Nova is a firm favourite with garden visitors of all ages. As well as a tropical Thai house, it boasts a magical fairy garden that will enchant children and adults alike.

Animal Magic in nearby Kilmallock has probably one of the biggest collections of raptors in Ireland, from the tiny Merlin, to the impressive Golden Eagle. Spend a couple of hours or if you are passionate about wildlife you can spend longer.

Or venture a little further and visit Griston Bog, home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, bees and insects, and different types of wildlife.

At the trailhead of the Ballyhoura Bike Trails in Ardpatrick there are walking and cycling routes to suit all ages, and the starting point for a nature trail for those interested in finding hidden creatures along the way.
